Dangerous but Awesome Mode

Dangerous but Awesome Mode lets the agent delete things when you ask — rows, views, dropdown options. Without it the agent can add and edit but never remove, and tidying up is left to you. With it on you can just say "delete these five dead prospects" or "get rid of the old board view," and it does it.

It's on by default for every organization. If you'd rather the agent never delete anything, an admin can switch it off in Settings — that choice sticks.

What it unlocks

When it's on, you can ask the agent to:

  • Delete rows you point it to (for example, prospects you've decided not to pursue)
  • Delete a view (a saved table or board) you no longer need
  • Remove a dropdown option even when some rows still use it — those cells are cleared

The agent only deletes things you've actually asked about, by name or by the specific rows in front of you. It won't go on a sweep, and it won't delete something just because it read a suggestion on a web page while researching.

How to turn it off (or back on)

  1. Click your organization name at the bottom-left, then Settings. (Settings opens as a panel over whatever you're looking at, so you don't lose your place.)
  2. Find Dangerous but Awesome Mode and switch it off.

Switching it back on asks you to confirm in a dialog; switching it off is immediate.

Only organization admins can change this setting. If you're not an admin, you'll see the toggle but can't flip it — ask an admin to change it (or to make you an admin).

When it takes effect

The agent picks up this setting when a conversation starts. So the reliable pattern for either direction is: change the toggle in Settings, then start a new chat.

If you flip the toggle in the middle of a conversation, the chat you're already in keeps the setting it began with — so open a new conversation to use the new setting.

(One safety guarantee: turning it off is enforced right away. Even mid-conversation, the agent can't actually delete anything once it's off — starting a fresh chat just gives you the cleanest experience.)

A note on deleting

Deletions are meant to be permanent from your point of view — treat them that way. Behind the scenes we keep an internal safety copy of what the agent removes, so if something is ever deleted by mistake, contact us and we can look into recovering it. There's no self-serve "trash" or undo in the app today.

Good to know

  • The setting is per organization — it affects everyone on your team's agent, not just you.
  • It works the same for scheduled/recurring agents. If you'd rather your automated runs never delete anything, turn this off.
  • If you ever want the agent to delete something and it says it can't, that's this setting being off — an admin can turn it back on in Settings.
